Week 5 Assignment 1 Homework:
I think that for my first animated banner ad it turned out well. I had some problems trying to sink up the onion skinning animation with the movie clip. I tried adding frames and spacing out the animation on the timeline it comes pretty close but still it could be better.

Well, I’ll do my best to give some criticism, but it’s gonna be hard, cause I thought your banner was excellent and wouldn’t change a whole lot. I think your timing is right on with the words. One thing I might try with the text though is having it move from left to right or vice versa, just slightly. Not on and off the screen. What I mean is while its on the screen, just have it moving really slowly to give it some movement so it doesn’t seem so stationary. I also might change the top part of your transition to something lighter, cause the darkness of the gradient is making the chocolate blend in almost, and seem less important than it is.
I just noticed that your movie clip for the ripple effect is off between Creamy and Organic Chocolate. When that drop hits there’s a delay till the ripple starts.

I like the concept of dripping chocolate you have created. I was blown away with your rippling animation the first time I saw it….and the chocolate bar looks realistic. I think it is hard to see when the background is also brown. What might help this is have the chocolate dripping into a pan or bowl and then you could lighten or change the background. I noticed that the last drip and ripples are a little off. That’s a sweet transition to the lighter background and your logo. I do like the way you implement the URL and capitalize the second word ‘Rabbit’.

Thanks for the input. I plan on reworking that ad. The timing on the ripple and drip animation is pretty bad off I’m going to keep working on it and try to get it correct. Still trying to think what I can do to top that ad. Good luck to the rest of you guys and thank you for the comments.
